Zimmerman Weintraub Associates (ZWA), the Chicago based Architecture, Interior Design, and Project Management firm, is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary delivering impactful design and rigorous PM services.
Founded in 1998 by J. Douglas Zimmerman and Lee S. Weintraub, ZWA has led the way with a forward-thinking approach to build an impressive portfolio of built environments with longstanding hospitality, retail, and commercial industry leaders.
At the forefront of design innovation and project management, having completed the design and renovation of more than 2,000 hotels, retail stores, and restaurants throughout the US and Canada, ZWA has led a number of first-of-their-kind projects by working closely with hospitality and retail owners/operators.

ZWA has led the transformation of the Midwest’s hottest urban neighborhood, it calls home.
Ten years ago, Lee and Doug set forth to change the trajectory of Chicago’s West Loop, having the vision to purchase and develop a dilapidated warehouse. Sustainably designing and renovating it to support the next generation of businesses, the 25+ person firm is headquartered here, along with the James Beard award-winning restaurant, The Girl & the Goat.
